Stephen Merchant

Stephen Merchant is geboren in Bristol, Engeland. Hij is de ster van HBO’s 'Hello Ladies’ (2013) en is internationaal erkend voor zijn werk met Ricky Gervais. Hij is mede-bedenker/-regisseur van onder andere 'The Office’ (BBC) en 'Extras’ (BBC/HBO) en is een graag en veel geziene gast in comedy shows als The Daily Show en de Graham Norton Show (Comedy Central). Merchant is bovendien te zien in verschillende komische films als 'Hall Pass’ (2011) en 'I Give It A Year’ (2013). Hij won drie BAFTA’s, vier British Comedy Awards, twee Golden Globes en een Emmy Award. Eind 2011 besluit Stephen Merchant voor het eerst zelf het podium op te klimmen met een stand-up comedy programma. Het leverde hem vele uitverkochte zalen en lovende kritieken op als "with a show this good, he deserves to stand tall” (Daily Telegraph) en "the man is hilarious” (The Times). Ook in Nederland lijkt zijn typische Britse humor enorm aan te slaan.
