Eddie Griffin

Funnyman Eddie Griffin heeft vanaf begin jaren negentig een carrière opgebouwd waar vele comedy-collega’s alleen maar van kunnen dromen. Dankzij optredens als 'regular’ in de Comedy Store - waarbij hij al snel werd vergeleken met gerenommeerde comedians als Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx en Lenny Bruce- werd hij gevraagd om opener te zijn van de toen immens populaire Andrew Dice Clay tijdens een show in Madison Square Garden. Kort erna werd hem een rol in Def Jam Comedy aangeboden en Griffin’s nationale doorbraak was een feit. Daarop volgden jaren van succesvolle solo-shows, guest performances in verschillende films, series én albums (met o.a. Dr. Dre, Tupac en Snoop Lion) en een vermelding in Comedy Centrals "Top 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time”. Ook in Nederland mag "funny motherfucker” Griffin rekenen op een vaste fanbase. En niet alleen door zijn vaste rol in de 'Chapelle Show’ en in de sit-com 'Malcolm & Eddie’, maar ook door zijn rollen in succesvolle films als 'Deuce Bigalow’, 'Norbit’ en 'Armageddon’. Ook zijn guest appearances in animatieseries 'Black Dynamite’ en 'The Boondocks’ en cameo’s in spoof movies als 'Scary Movie’ en 'Date Movie’ zijn onvergetelijk. 
 

Funny man Eddie Griffin has built a career since the start of the '90's that many colleagues can only dream of.
